Storm Coming

11/3/12

The Official Debut!

It was probably assumed that I would do my audition act, but I was eager to work on something new, so I searched for a song that would be a powerful debut.  "Storm Coming" was perfect and gave me a chance to do a little Gnarls, who I had been listening to all summer.  I was originally thinking of doing Storm from the X-Men, to go with the song, but upon an non-related discussion with Cherry about derivative works, I found being a Weather Mage gave a much better outcome.  I was thankful for being pushed in the end.

The costume parts/inspiration came from a Twisted Hunt where the color was Bleen.  The Set was a space station/sci-fi club that I took apart and the background electrical was a score from a Steam hunt.  After rehearsal I learned that even though the Tesla box said No Mod, it really would mod and came completely apart after rehearsal.  I had to have parts returned and my workspace on the roof of the studio was littered with dismantled parts all week while I worked on getting it back together for the Friday performance.  I had a lot of issues with the animated charge textures not moving when I put them together.  It was frustrating, but it all came together in the end.
